Steps, a transition from one level to another. . . Consider:
	Who will use it:
		Children, adults . . . ?
		Does it need to meet the American Disabilities Act standards/be handicap accessible?
	How it will be used:
		For leisurely walking?
		To get quickly from point "A" to point "B"?
		How many steps will you need to comfortably make the transition?
		Will it be used for strollers, wheeled carts, etc.?
	And:
		Where will it be - abutting a foundation, on a slope, in a poor drainage area, poolside, etc.?
		Does it need to be lighted?
		Do you need a landing? How wide should it be?
		What look do you want to achieve - formal, natural, informal?
		What type of materials do you want/need to achieve your goals: cut stone, natural stone, interlocking pavers, brick, concrete pavers, wood?
		What are the maintenance requirements?
