At
Chestnut Hill we offer a complete range of services designed to showcase
your property for years to come. We specialize in individual outdoor
needs for your personal living space. We'll take you from the planning
and design stage through the complete installation of patios and landscapes.
Why
you should use our services:
Problems
such as poor drainage, overcrowded plant material, collapsing retaining
walls, and buckling driveways can be avoided by consulting a good landscape
architect.
A
client came to us with a request for an outdoor living space, however
the area was inundated with up to eight inches of standing water after
a good rain. We had to regrade the site and install subsurface drainage
before moving ahead with the patio construction. This situation could
have been avoided if site drainage was correctly planned when the lot
was developed.
We
recommend consulting with our company as early as possible in a project.
That way, the landscape architects can identify site challenges, place
buildings and structures to maximize views and exposures, minimize environmental
impact, and design aesthetic yet functional planting and hardscaping
plans. This type of planning ensures that properties will work for their
owners today as well as generations from now.
Not
all clients require such broad design services or can afford to do an
entire project at once. Grading, drainage, erosion control, slope retention,
planting, lighting, and hardscaping are among the services we perform.
Less involved projects may only require simple sketches, while larger
jobs may call for long-term phasing; however, proper planning is the
key.

Our
firm did the site analysis and hardscape design for the 2003 Hometime
TV program in Mound, Minnesota. John Talago and Dave Roberts
of Chestnut Hill Landscape Contractors oversaw the installation
of the project with the help of 10 Belgard hardscape sale reps
from all over the country. The success of the program gave us
the opportunity to be invited back for the next project in 2005.
